Chancedance Chronicles'Perhaps
the poet whose verses gladden us was sad and solitary, and the musician a
melancholic dreamer...What they give us is no longer their darkness, their
suffering or fears, but a drop of pure light, eternal cheerfulness...'

Hesse, Magister Ludi

of the Week: Falling Free If I told you what inspired this Dreamscape story, you'd never believe me. |
7-13-06 Things are feeling bright & shiny right now. A lot of the chaos of life has finally slowed down & new projects are on the horizon. Currently, I'm updating the Crossroads Blues Band's website because their new CD I Want It Right Now is finally done. If you live in the Puget Sound area, be sure to go listen to them live. Here's a link to their current schedule. I'm also going to be working on a couple of very large paintings for work. If I like the way they turn out, pics will be posted. Since love is also feeling bright and shiny right now, this week's lyric is from Magic Man by Heart. Cold, late night so long ago 7-8-06 I just got back from seeing the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. What a lot of fun! Things I really liked: Norrington in a new light, the one-eyed pirate and his friend were back, windy twisty plot, fun special effects. Thing I didn't like as much: cannibals (stoopid), sleazy new bad guy (although as one-dimensional bad guys go, it could be worse), Davy Jones trying to talk with a mouthful of goo (not really fair to Bill Nighy who did a bang-up job despite having an octopus face and drooling slime). If you liked the first movie, you should like this one too. Sometimes the writing wasn't as good in places where Jack was trying to fast talk, which was a little disappointing, yet soon forgotten amidst the rest of the wild ride. I also gathered up a bunch of lyrics for future lyric of the week updates this morning. Stay tuned for more! 7-5-06 I got nice news today. A missing friend has been found. Today I'm grateful for little things :) 7-4-06 Happy Independence Day to all Americans out there. In the last 2 weeks, I've traveled across 3 states and moved my grandfather to North Dakota. Grandpa is now living in an old run down house in a tiny little North Dakota town but I left him happier than I'd seen him in a long time. Blessings and thanks to Janice and Gordon for the help, love and support that is what family is all about. I've never worked so hard in my life, but it was so worth it! In other news, I'm still waiting on the new web-editing software at work, but once it arrives, this site will get a complete overhaul. This week's lyric is from Alice Cooper's Wake Me Gently I was scared to death 6-16-06
Finally got a minute for a lyric of the week.
How often have we all done this...try to hate someone because it's easier
than missing them or knowing that you weren't good for each other? The song Hate
Me by Blue October describes this really well: |
